MLB Baseball Wagering – Sportsbook Series Three Pack

Milwaukee Brewers @ Houston Astros

After a day off, the Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros get at it for a three-game, mid-week sports betting series.

Third place is on the line but more importantly, both teams are trying to catch the St. Louis Cardinals for the wild card spot.

The Brewers have picked up their game recently and are 10-3 over their last 13 online wagering games. While they have played well at home, they have been criticized locally for struggling at home. Here’s a news flash: only three teams have a winning road record.

The Brewers might be able to squeak out a couple of road games in this baseball betting series as they boast a pitching advantage.

In general their pitching is much weaker on the road than it is at home (case and point, Manny Parra: 2.90 ERA at home, 6.96 ERA on the road) but two of their three pitchers in this series actually pitch better away from home.

Ben Sheets is 2-1 at home with a 2.90 ERA but is 4-0 on the road with a 2.46 ERA. Seth McClung has an ERA of 7.16 at home but an ERA of 1.83 on the road.

The Astros are struggling and have lost nine of their last 11 games.

Free Pick: Milwaukee Brewers

Atlanta Braves @ Chicago Cubs

If the trends are heavily slanted one way, why not stick with them?

The Atlanta Braves have the worst road record in baseball. They have won only seven times in 28 tries. The Chicago Cubs have the best home record in the National League. They have 26 wins in 34 tries.

These two teams will meet for a three-game series after taking a day off on Monday.

Atlanta will pitch Tom Glavine, Jair Jurrjens and Tim Hudson in this series. Glavine is off a rough month in which he allowed 21 earned runs in 34 innings pitched in May. Jurrjens has also struggled recently. He’s given up 14 earned runs in his last 15 innings pitched.

It also won’t help matters that leading hitter Chipper Jones will be out of the lineup for at least a couple, if not all three games of this series.

The Cubs will counter with Ted Lilly, Ryan Dempster and Sean Gallagher.

Free Pick: Chicago Cubs

Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets

Totals players, get ready to hammer the under.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have struggled since starting the season 28-16. They are only 6-14 since and are struggling to hit the ball.

The New York Mets, who were supposed World Series contenders, are just 30-32 and have experienced a season-long power outage themselves.

The D’Backs have scored just 19 runs in their last nine games while the Mets have scored only nine runs during their current four-game losing streak.

Arizona’s pitching has still been strong all season long and they will throw Micah Owins, Brandon Webb and Dan Haren in this series. The Mets will counter with John Maine, Mike Pelfrey and Johan Santana. The Mets trio seems weaker but they all pitch better at home. They are a combined 8-5 with an ERA of 3.36 at home versus 7-9 with an ERA of 4.64 on the road.

Free Pick: New York Mets
