The Milwaukee Brewers hand the ball to C.C. Sabathia on Friday night when they take on the San Francisco Giants. Sabathia will be counted on to help end the Brewers’ 26 year streak without getting to the post-season. Sabathia can certainly do his part by shutting down a Giants’ team that has been playing well above their talent level all season. Sabathia only has an 8 and 8 record on the year with an ERA of 3.67, but his ability to shut-down batters, when he feels like doing so, is what the Brewers coveted when they traded for him. There’s no doubt in my baseball betting mind that Sabathia will be much better as a happy Brewer then he was as an unhappy Indian.

The Giants counter Sabathia with pitcher Matt Cain. Cain hasn’t been as atrocious as some MLB betting fans might think. His ERA of 4.06 and his record of 5 and 7 are actually much better numbers then what a lot of online betting prognosticators thought they would be. But the Brewers will have the stronger batting line-up in this game and Cain gets no breaks by having to face Sabathia.

How much better is Sabathia in this game? Enough for me to not even worry about any other online wager in this affair other then to say that giving up a run and a half to get + 125 on C.C. Sabathia is a great online bet!

I have no problem with this run-line. C.C. will show up, dominate for close to seven innings, and the Brewers will find a way to get to Matt Cain.

To me, that’s the most logical online wager - - C.C. Sabathia on the run-line at – 1 ½ runs + 125.
