MLB Baseball Wagering - Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

The Red Sox and Yankees resume the greatest rivalry in sports on Saturday afternoon when the mighty BoSox take their world championship team to New York to beat down the Yankees. I write beat down because that’s what the Red Sox have been doing lately in this rivalry. The Yankees dominated for almost 100 years, of course, but since the Sox broke the curse a few years back, it’s been all Boston since then. The BoSox send pitcher Justin Masterson to the mound. Besides looking like he just starred in the latest Harry Potter movie, Masterson has done a decent job pitching for the champs. His ERA is a nice 3.75. His record isa very good 4 and 2.
The New York Yankees counter with old pro Mike Mussina. Mussina has had a very good season so far going 10 and 6 with an ERA of 3.87. He will have to have one of those terrific Mike Mussina outings in order to beat the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. For MLB betting fans, whether or not placing a wager on Mussina is always a tough call.

The Boston Red Sox are 5 and 1 in Justin Masterson’s last 6 starts on grass.
The New York Yankees are 9 and 4 in Mike Mussina’s last 13 starts.
The New York Yankees are 1 and 4 in their last 5 games at home.
What online baseball bet I make is going to depend on the BetUS online sportsbook odds. I do believe that the Yankees, considering the fact that they are at home for this series, will be the favorites.
But as I wrote above, Mussina tends to be an iffy online wager for baseball betting fans. He could have a terrific game, but it might not matter because the Red Sox are the better team.
Because of that I will wait for the BetUS online sportsbook odds to come out for this game, hope that the Red Sox are the underdog, which they certainly should be, and then take them straight-up on the BetUS money-line.
