NL's Top $$$ Pitchers
by Charles Jay

Now that the NHL and NBA seasons are over, it’s time to sink your teeth into more baseball betting! Check out BetUS Sportsbook’s list of the top $$$ pitchers the National League has to offer as the summer continues!
1) Josh Johnson, Florida Marlins (12-4, +$789) Johnson ran into the buzz saw known as the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend, and though he didn’t pitch up to his standards (6.0 innings, three ERs), would’ve gotten the ‘W’ if not for a bad effort by his bullpen. Florida had won his L/6 starts before that, so expect to see Johnson stay on track for the Cy Young Award in his upcoming outings.
2) Jason Marquis, Colorado Rockies (10-5, +$635) Just a few weeks ago, everyone was calling for Marquis to get traded to a contender… Little did anyone know that the Rocks were going to win 20 out of 23 games and be right there for the NL Wild Card. The righty had his first really lousy outing since the middle of May when the Halos lit him up for eight runs in just 3.1 innings, but he should get back on his feet soon.
3) Matt Cain, San Francisco Giants (11-4, +$619) After rolling off wins in his L/9 starts, the Giants finally lost with Cain on the mound on Friday night against the Brew Crew in Milwaukee. He gave up five runs in seven frames, just the second time this season that he conceded more than four runs in a start and the fourth time he gave up more than two runs in a start.
4) Eric Stults, Los Angeles Dodgers (7-2, +$585) Stults hasn’t made an appearance in a game since being put on the DL after his May 30th start against the Cubs, and it only seems like a matter of time before a few more pitchers catch fire and bounce him from this list.
5) Jason Hammel, Colorado Rockies (8-4, +$557) The Rays didn’t have any place to put Hammel in their rotation, and their loss is Colorado’s gain. The Rocks have rolled in the month of June, and a large part of this huge winning streak has been thanks to their righty. He’s 5-0 and has held five of his L/7 opponents to two ERs or less.
6) Tommy Hanson, Atlanta Braves (5-0, +$500) Sometimes rookies do live up to the hype after all… Since allowing eight runs in the first two starts of his MLB career, Hanson hasn’t allowed a single run to cross the plate. Manager Bobby Cox is babying his rookie’s arm, as he hasn’t let him throw more than six innings in a start yet, but he’s got the longest scoreless innings streak in baseball going right now at 20.
7) Brian Moehler, Houston Astros (7-5, +$447) Moehler has led the ‘Stros to some landmark victories this season as hefty underdogs, including posting a ‘W’ as a +188 underdog in Minnesota on June 20th. The righty’s ERA may be over 6.00, but the Astros are finding ways to win in his starts.
