MLB Power Rankings - L.A. Teams Make a Statement

The Dodgers stay at the top but the Red Sox, Angels and Rockies all continue to bring in the dough for BetUS online sportsbook betting fans!

The Angels and Rockies in particular have to be the reason that bettors are smiling this week after the Angels took a huge jump all the way to number 3 in the power rankings. The Rockies continue to move up while the Texas Rangers, the Angels’ chief rival in the A.L. West, slid two spots to number 4.

Let’s take a look at the rankings.

MLB: Power Rankings

1. Los Angeles Dodgers 48-28 ATS +1673 units 36-40 RL -284 units - - The Dodgers weren’t 2 and 1 against the rival Angels but after that it really wasn’t that great of a week as they went 1 and 2 against the Chicago White Sox and 1 and 1 against Seattle Mariners. Their pitching is starting to become exposed as this team continues to drop in the run line category. Be careful about betting the Dodgers are my advice to gamblers right now.

2. Boston Red Sox 46-29 +1011 ATS 42-32 RL +1441 units - - No worries about betting the Red Sox who have gone 6 and 4 in their last 10 games including 2 and 1 against the Washington Nationals and 2 and 1 against the Atlanta Braves this past week. Because they have series coming up against the Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners, the BoSox should continue to provide profits to betting fans.

3. Los Angeles Angels 40-32 ATS +897 units 39-33 RL +421 units - - After the Dodgers and Red Sox there is a huge drop in term of units won to the Angels are aren’t even at the +900 mark. That’s okay because L.A. was struggling before this past week when they swept Arizona and went 2 and 1 against Colorado. A key series against the Texas Rangers looms.

4. Texas Rangers 40-33 ATS +815 units 37-36 RL -13 units - - Texas is now in second place in the A.L. West. They have a chance to get back to the top of the division because they face the Angels in their next series. Suffering a sweep at the hands of the San Francisco Giants last week was tough as was a game loss to Arizona.

5. Colorado Rockies 40-35 ATS +736 units 42-33 RL +713 units - - The Rockies lost two games last week to the L.A. Angels which bring their record in their last 10 to 8 and 2. They swept Oakland and now face their N.L. West rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers. If the Rockies can sweep the Dodgers, then look out. That would be the sign that this team is for real.

6. Detroit Tigers 42-33 ATS +689 units 35-40 RL -441 units - - The Tigers continue to win units ATS but on the run line this team has been downright awful lately. Bettors should just concentrate on betting this team to win as they swept the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers last week before dropping two games to the Houston Astros.

7. San Francisco Giants 40-33 ATS +606 units 44-29 RL +1893 units - - The key for gamblers with making money on the Giants is to bet the run line under certain situations. This team is obviously much better in 2009 than they were in 2008. A lot of it has to do with their pitching staff which is one of the best in MLB right now. A four game series against the St. Louis Cardinals will say a lot about this team and could be a boon for gamblers if wagered on correctly.

8. Milwaukee Brewers 40-35 ATS +377 units 40-35 +552 units - - The Brew Crew was swept by the Detroit Tigers, went 1 and 2 against the Minnesota Twins and 2 and 1 against the San Francisco Giants. They need to do well against the New York Mets before gamblers can once again show faith in this team.

9. Cincinnati Reds 37-37 ATS +324 units 43-31 RL +572 units - - The Reds return to the power rankings after being off for a week. They went 2 and 1 against the Cleveland Indians and 1 and 2 against the Toronto Blue Jays. When MLB betting fans get to this point in the power rankings, they are betting at their own risk.

10. Toronto Blue Jays 41-36 ATS +229 units 39-38 RL -44 units - - 2 and 1 against Cincinnati and 1 and 2 against Philadelphia was enough for the Blue Jays to keep the 10th spot in the power rankings. Now, they face the Tampa Bay Rays which is a key series in the A.L. East Division.
