The Milwaukee Brewers, (34-31, 29-36 RL) picked up their second win in its last three sports betting contests on Wednesday night, smacking around the reeling Houston Astros, (33-33, 37-29 RL) 10-6 just as I predicted in the BetUS Locker Room on Wednesday for the BetUS online sports wagering community that wagers on MLB baseball.
The Brewers have also won seven of its last ten games overall in the BetUS Sportsbook and are getting the job done with their often-prolific offense.
The Brewers used a season-high five home runs on Wednesday to beat the Astros and Brandon Backe, and will look for more o the same as they face Astros starter Brian Moehler (3-2, 3.76 ERA) and Houston’s mediocre bullpen, which surrendered four of Wednesday’s long balls.
"It's fun winning games like this," Milwaukee’s Corey Hart said.
The right-hander Moehler is 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in his last three starts and is coming off his best performance of the 2008 season as he limited the St. Louis Cardinals to just two hits and no runs in Milwaukee’s 6-1 win on Friday.
Moehler has already been bashed once by the Brewers this season, allowing three runs on six hits, including one home run, in five innings on May 31 as the Astros fell 4-1.
Online baseball gamblers should know that the Brewers, who have hit 21 home runs in their last 11 games, have an excellent chance at winning tonight with staff ace Ben Sheets, (6-1, 2.62) taking the mound and looking as good as ever recently.
Sheets has gone 2-0 with a 1.52 ERA in his last four starts and limited the Colorado Rockies to just one run on five hits in six innings Friday night, though the Brewers ended up losing 6-4.
"We've played - if you want to be truthful - some bad baseball the last two weeks," Houston manager Cecil Cooper told the team's official Web site.
Here is a look at tonight’s key online sports wagering trends followed by my analysis and MLB online betting Free Picks.
The Brewers are 4-0 in Sheets' last four road starts vs. a team with a winning record.
The Brewers are 9-2 in Sheets' last eleven road starts.
The Astros are 5-1 in Moehler’s last six starts vs. a team with a winning record.
The Astros are 7-2 in Moehler’s last nine starts.
The Over is 6-1 in Sheets' last seven Thursday starts.
The Under is 4-0 in Moehler’s last four home starts.
The Over is 6-2-1 in Sheets' last nine starts vs. Astros.
The Brewers are 19-44 in the last 63 meetings in Houston.
Analysis: While I like Houston’s Brian Moehler and think he’s going to get better with each outing as his major league career moves along, the Milwaukee Brewers are the easy pick for the BetUS online MLB betting community with Ben Sheets taking the mound and looking like an early season AL Cy Young contender recently.
