The Seattle Mariners, (28-50, 31-46 RL) may be the worst team in all of baseball betting this season, but a three-game online gambling series with the dysfunctional New York Mets cured some of Seattle’s numerous ailments despite the fact that they dropped the series finale on Thursday, losing to the Mets 8-2 after taking each of the first two series matchups.
The Mariners will look to get back in the win column tonight against the San Diego Padres, (32-48, 36-44 RL), losers of five straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook, including a 4-3 loss to the red-hot Minnesota Twins on Thursday.
"We are not playing well over the last couple of weeks," Padres manager Bud Black said. "We have to right the ship."
The Padres will hand the ball to veteran southpaw Randy Wolf (5-6, 4.09 ERA) who is coming off a solid start in his last outing, limiting the Detroit Tigers to three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings, though the Padres fell 5-3 on Sunday.
The BetUS MLB online sports wagering community may want to make a mental note of the fact that Wolf has lost all three of his interleague starts this season, posting a poor 5.51 ERA in the process. Wolf however, has also allowed just two earned runs or less in six of his last seven starts.
Seattle will counter with veteran lefty Jarrod Washburn (2-7, 5.52), although he has not won a game since May 5. Washburn has actually been throwing the ball very well lately as he has recorded a miniscule 2.04 ERA in his last three starts – all no decisions.
Washburn limited the Atlanta Braves to one run on six hits while striking out a season-high eight batters in just in 5 2/3 innings on Saturday night.
Here is a look at tonight’s key online sports wagering trends followed by my analysis and MLB online betting Free Picks.
The Mariners are 2-5 in Washburn’s last seven starts during game one of a series.
The Mariners are 7-20 in Washburn’s last 27 starts.
The Padres are 5-1 in Wolf’s last six home starts vs. a team with a losing record.
The Padres are 4-1 in Wolf’s last five home starts.
The Under is 4-1 in Washburn’s last five starts as an underdog of +110 to +150.

The Under is 4-0-1 in Wolf’s last five starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5.
The Mariners are 5-1 in the last six meetings.
The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in San Diego.
Analysis: It’s pretty ironic that both starting pitchers tonight have been throwing the ball very well lately in fruitless efforts that have been consistently wasted by their respective ballclubs. When it’ all said and done tonight, I like the Padres to be the team left standing as they end their five-game losing streak behind another solid outing from Randy Wolf.
