Chicago White Sox Take On Improving Indians
by admin

After getting shutout by Cliff Lee and the Tribe in Game 1 of this three-game set, the Palehose tripped and stumbled throughout last nights MLB online betting affair and lost for the fifth time in their last six overall. Cleveland got on the board first and took a 4-0 lead into the top of the sixth before Chicago’s offense finally got to Fausto Carmona with three runs to cut the Indians lead to one run.
It was hardly enough for MLB bettors that backed the White Sox in this spot, as Cleveland answered with five of their own in the bottom of the seventh. The offensive outburst ultimately allowed Cleveland to win the game 9-3, and in the process win its sixth series in the last eight played.
Manager Eric Wedge’s ball club has caught fire entering the final month of the season, and while a serious charge in the divisional or Wild Card race looks to be out of the question, there’s no doubt 2006’s AL Central champs will look to continue to close out strong and possibly spoil a couple teams seasons’ along the way.
Luckily for Chicago, Minnesota’s decided to play just as bad a brand of ball of late, so they’ll enter this afternoons series finale tied with the Twins atop the AL Central. Manager Ozzie Guillen’s club has now dropped five of its L/6 road games to drop to 31-39 on the year – costing baseball bettors upwards of $600 as a visitor overall.
Cleveland sports a 10-9 record in Game 3 after securing a victory in the second game of a series, while the White Sox own a solid 13-7 mark the next game after dropping the first two of a series. Chicago holds a 9-5 season series advantage heading into this afternoons game with three left in Chicago to close out each clubs respective regular season schedules.
Right-hander Javier Vazquez will be making his 28th start of the season when he opposes the Indians for the 15th time in his career. He enters his turn in the rotation 10-12 overall with a 4.38 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. He lost for the second time in a row his last time out after Boston rattled his cage to the tune of 10 hits and five runs in 5 2/3rd innings of work.
Chicago’s won seven of his 14 road starts and he owns a personal 4-7 record with a 4.57 ERA and 1.47 WHIP as a visitor. He’s 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in three starts against the Tribe this season, but in his career, he’s 6-4 with a 3.98 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 14 overall starts.
Looking to outduel the White Sox righty will be Cleveland’s Jeremy Sowers who comes into his 18th start of the season off a so-so effort versus Seattle. He limited the Mariners offense to seven hits and three earned runs in the outing, but he was yanked after throwing 95 pitches through just five innings.
It was his second straight start in which he failed to reach the six-inning plateau, so he’ll look to give his bullpen some relief and go deeper in this spot.
Cleveland’s 5-3 in his eight Progressive Field starts this season where he sports a 4.44 ERA and has allowed 52 hits and 23 earned runs through 46+ total innings of work. He got roughed up in a start at Chicago back in late June where he surrendered six hits and eight earned runs in just three total innings of work.
MLB Oddsmakers installed Chicago –130 road favorites in this afternoon’s baseball betting affair with the ‘total’ set at 10 over +100. BetUS.com offers all MLB betting odds be it side, total, or run-line, so be sure to login to your account and get your action in before the first pitch.
