No. 1 Connecticut Huskies (31-4 SU, 18-15-0 ATS)

This will be Connecticut's third Final Four appearance, all made within the past decade, as they look for their third national title—the first two also went through regional’s in Phoenix in 1999 and 2004. In the regional championship game in Phoenix on Saturday against No. 3 Missouri, the Huskies covered as the 5½-point sports betting favorites with an 82-75 victory.

UConn has covered the spread in all four NCAA Tournaments games, including an opening-round 103-47 destruction of Chattanooga, which was the third biggest blowout in the tournament's history and the Huskies largest margin of victory in any postseason game ever played. They then easily disposed of Texas A&M, winning the first two rounds by a combined 82 points, before beating Purdue and then, of course, Missouri.

During the regular season, UConn put together two SU winning streaks consisting of eleven and 13 games. The first streak was an eleven-game run to start the season that was ended by Georgetown. Following the 74-62 defeat to the Hoyas on Dec. 29, 2008, the Huskies bounced back to reel off 13 straight. In the Big East Tournament, they were ousted in its first game by Syracuse in what was a historical contest, resulting in a six overtime affair as the Orange outlasted the Huskies 127-117 in what was arguably the best college basketball betting game of all-time.

UConn often overwhelms opponents with its size and strength, led by A.J. Price who scores 14.7 points per game. In addition to Price, the Huskies floor two other starters that average over 13 points a game - Jeff Adrien and Big East Player of the Year Hasheem Thabeet.

In the regional championship game, Price scored 18 points and was named most outstanding player of the West Region. Huskies All-American center Kemba Walker tied a career high with 23 points in the West Region final and Stanley Robinson had 13 points against Missouri, marking the fifth game in a row he’s been in double figures.

Keys to advancing: UConn will meet Michigan State on Saturday, April 4, in Detroit (6:07pm EST) as the BetUS NCAA basketball odds 4-point favorites. The Huskies can almost always count on its defense, particularly when Thabeet can avoid foul trouble. If they continue to pile up the points, and Thabeet stays out of foul trouble, UConn will be tough to beat. But it's mandatory they put up a robust score, because the Spartans are 27-0 SU when opponents fail to surpass the 60-point mark.
