President Obama’s March Madness bracket started out uglier than his Jay Leno interview, but like any good diplomat, he’s managed to pull it from the fire and make it look like he knew what he was doing all along.
Pundits around the country are blabbing about how “The President should be worrying about more pressing issues” but what sports fans want to know is if Obama can be trusted with our money!
Rather than blaming the sinking Dow on the president's inability to correctly predict the winner in 13 out of 32 games, we should see how he’s doing in the BetUS Sportsbook.

The President had picked Wake Forest to make it past the first round but Wake ended up going down in flames to the 13th seed, Cleveland State, 84-69. We can’t fault him for this one as the Vikings snuck up on just about everyone in the country with this blow out.
His next gaff was taking No. 5 seed Florida State, which narrowly lost in overtime to 12th seeded Wisconsin. See what happens when you don’t take risks.
Here is a list of games where the ultra-conservative bracket picks backfired on him:
- #8 Ohio State would beat #9 Siena (Siena, 74-72);
- #5 Utah would beat #12 Arizona (Arizona, 84-71);
- #6 West Virginia would beat #11 Dayton (Dayton, 68-60);
- #7 Boston College would beat #10 USC (USC, 72-55);
- #8 BYU would beat #9 Texas A&M (Texas A&M, 79-66);
- #5 Illinois would beat #12 W. Kentucky (W. Kentucky, 76-72);
- #7 Clemson would beat #10 Michigan (Michigan, 62-59);
Here are his so called upset picks, although a 9 beating an 8 isn’t remotely an upset:
- #9 Butler would beat #8 LSU (LSU, 75-71);
- #9 Tennessee would beat #8 Oklahoma State (Oklahoma State, 77-75);
- #11 Temple would beat #6 Arizona State (Arizona State, 66-57);
- #11 VCU would beat #6 UCLA (UCLA, 65-64).
Needless to say he had a rough start and probably lost the faith of those riding his picks. But before you bail on Barack’s bracket picks, know that he has correctly picked 14 of the final 16 left in the big dance.
He managed to shake off the ass kicking he got on day, and since he didn’t take many upsets and all the tournament top seeds have stuck around, he has set himself up nicely for the Sweet 16.
Worth noting: The teams he bet against that ended up winning, almost all were killed off in the second round. Conspiracy theory anyone?
