This daughter of Free House has actually done well so far in her brief career. Out of 8 races she has 1 win and a 1 second place finish. Juan Paco Gonzalez, who about eight years ago dominated SoCal racing with horses like Free House, Came Home and Beinamado, trains this filly. Gonzalez has done well with limited starters during this Del Mar meet going 2 out of 7 in the win column. Yarns looks like lone speed. That’s enough for me to say she’s worth an online bet or two.

North Rodeo - - 4/1 fair online betting odds

Remember when Free House and Silver Charm ran against each other in SoCal in the biggest races on the grounds? Well, Silver Charm was trained by Bob Baffert who saddles this filly. North Rodeo has some speed and could press Spinning Yarns from the outside. The one knock is that she’s coming out of a minor stakes race. That means her online wagering odds are going to be extremely low.

Lighten Up Rule - - 6/1 fair online betting odds

This daughter out of Tribal Rule retains the services of super jock Rafael Bejarano, is trained by Jeff Mullins, and is dropping in distance to this one mile race. She’s got every right to win this but she is a closer and only Spinning Yarns looks like she needs the lead. That means that Lighten Up Rule will have a lot of work to do at the top of the stretch.

Wagering Strategy

Spinning Yarns deserves some online betting dollars to finish first and second. I will use her in exacta and trifecta boxes with Lighten Up Rule and North Rodeo.
