Pebble Beach Tournament Match-Up Picks

This Thursday the At&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am begins with no Tiger Woods again. Phil Mickelson and Padraig Harrington, both of whom played terribly last weekend, will be there, however.
Can Phil or Padraig bounce back? Maybe. The BetUS Sportsbook has just released Tournament Match-up betting lines.
Let’s take a look at the best bets in the sportsbook.
Pebble Beach Tournament Match-Ups
1. Padraig Harrington -115 vs. Jim Furyk -115 - - This is the best match-up because Padraig has too much pride to let what happened to him in last weekend’s tournament get to him at Pebble Beach. Furyk is usually right there and could easily win this tournament. Or, he could finish second or third. I actually have to go with Jim Furyk in this because I do believe Padraig does better but his M.O. is to use these tournaments as a warm-up for the majors.
Pick: Padraig Harrington at -115
2. Kenny Perry -120 vs. Tim Clark -115 - - Most golf bettors still have a hard time believing in Perry who is coming off of an FBR Open victory. Perry didn’t play last weekend so that he could rest up for this weekend. Clark is a good golfer but if Perry is on his game, then the -120 is more than fair.
Pick: Kenny Perry at -120
3. Phil Mickelson -115 vs. Vijay Singh -115 - - Vijay is playing for the first time in a while at Pebble Beach while Phil has been downright awful in his last two tournaments. Mickelson might bounce back in this now that the pressure of being the favorite is sort of off of him. Singh might be on his game. Or, he might not. With Vijay you never know. I’m backing Mickelson.
Pick: Phil Mickelson at -115
4. Frederik Jacobsen -150 vs. Jesper Parnevik +120 - - Jacobsen should beat Parnevik with ease at Pebble Beach but I feel like taking a shot. Parnevik has the ability to make some serious noise in a tournament like the Pro-Am. I’m going to go with him at odds because I just don’t believe Jacobsen is a -150 better golfer than Parnevik.
Pick: Jesper Parnevik at +120
5. Pat Perez Ev vs. Nick Watney -130 - - This is another match-up where it makes sense to take the underdog. Watney certainly should be the favorite but Perez could beat him easily. 30 bucks is just too much extra to risk on Watney. Perez is the play in this match-up.
Pick: Pat Perez at Ev
6. David Toms -105 vs. Mike Weir -125 - - Toms is the slight underdog and usually I’d go for him, but I love Mike Weir in this tournament. Toms will play well but Weir should play better. Weir has a chance of winning the tournament while Toms could make a top ten appearance.
Pick: Mike Weir at -125
