Group Betting on Golf - Transitions Championship

This weekend is the Transitions Championship. Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh have all decided to skip this tournament.
That means that some very good golfers have a chance to win. But finding a winner in any golf tournament is always tough to do. Luckily, the BetUS sportsbook offers wagering on 72 Hole Group Betting.
By concentrating on finding a winner in a particular group, gamblers can increase their chances of winning profits.
Let’s analyze the groups in the Transitions Championship this week.
Golf: Transitions 72 Hole Group Betting
Group 1: Sean O’Hair, K.J +275, K.J. Choi +275, Kenny Perry +300, Steve Stricker +300, Zach Johnson +325
Analysis: Is there a more competitive group for the Transitions than Group A? Perry, Choi, O’Hair, who won the Transitions in 2008, Stricker and Johnson all have a shot. Perry finished tied for 9th in the WGC-CA last week against Tiger, Phil and Vijay. So, I’m taking him to win this group this week.
Pick: Kenny Perry at +300
Group 2: David Toms +285, Rod Pampling +300, Adam Scott +300, Tim Clark +300, Nick Watney +325
Analysis: Watney finished second to Mickelson, by a single stroke, in the WGC-CA. Unlike Perry, though, I don’t believe Watney necessarily keeps it going in this. I’m going to say that Adam Scott has a good shot, but I’m not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt with South African Tim Clark up there at +300. Clark finished 27th in the WGC-CA, but he’s made the cut in all 6 tournament he’s played in this year and he’s finished in the Top Ten in 2 of those. I like Clark.
Pick: Tim Clark at +300
Group 3: Mark Calcavecchia +285, Charley Hoffman +285, John Senden +300, Retief Goosen +300, Ryuji Imada +325
Analysis: This is a no-brainer to me. How can Retief not be favored in this group? Sure, he had a ridiculously bad WGC-CA but all that means is that he bounces back in this. Goosen has made the cut five times out of five this year and has a Top Ten finish. He should be able to take down all of his rivals in Group 3.
Pick: Retief Goosen at +300
Group 4: Bart Bryant +300, Ben Crane +285, Heath Slocum +300, Bryan Gay +285, Matt Goggin +320.
Analysis: This is a tough group to find the winner because none of these gays are playing exceptionally well. I’m going to take a flyer and go with Goggin because of the odds. At least Goggin has made 4 cuts out of 6 tournaments and has a Top Ten finish to his credit. Crane has done better with 2 Top Ten finishes, but I don’t think the lower odds are justified. I’ll ride with Goggin in this group.
Pick: Matt Goggin at +320
