Breeders Cup Venue 2009

The 2009 Breeders’ Cup will again be held at beautiful Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA.

Famous to horseplayers and non-horseplayers alike, Santa Anita Park’s beauty is only encapsulated by the majestic Santa Ana Mountain that Santa Anita Park has hosted a Breeders’ Cup. This will be the fifth time that Santa Anita Park has hosted a Breeders’ Cup but the first time it has been back to back years.

Opening on Dec. 25th in 1934, Santa Anita Park is home to some of the greatest races in American Thoroughbred Racing. This includes America’s first $100,000 race - - the Santa Anita Handicap. In fact, Santa Anita has been the focal point of some of the greatest moments in horse racing.
