Breeders Cup Venue 2008

The 2008 Breeders’ Cup is being held at beautiful Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA.

Famous to horseplayers and non-horseplayers alike, Santa Anita Park’s beauty is only encapsulated by the majestic Santa Ana Mountain that Santa Anita Park has hosted a Breeders’ Cup. This will be the fourth time that Santa Anita Park has hosted a Breeders’ Cup.

Opening on Dec. 25th in 1934, Santa Anita Park is home to some of the greatest races in American Thoroughbred Racing. This includes America’s first $100,000 race - - the Santa Anita Handicap. In fact, Santa Anita has been the focal point of some of the greatest moments in horse racing.

Will this year’s Breeders’ Cup provide more great moments? With the expected match-up of Big Brown vs. Curlin in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and the monumental running of the first ever Breeders’ Cup Ladie’s Classic on October 24th featuring the great Zenyatta, all eyes will once again be on Santa Anita Park.
