After getting off to a red-hot start for the better part of the first half of the 2008 regular season, the Arizona Diamondbacks, (45-45, 39-50 RL) have struggled immensely to regain the consistency that has made them one of the better teams in the National League this season.

After blanking the lowly Washington Nationals, (34-57, 48-43 RL) 2-0 behind Brandon Webb’s fantastic performance on Tuesday, the D-Backs looked pitiful in losing to the Nats, 5-0 on Wednesday night while getting just three hits.

"It's pretty frustrating," said Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin, whose team didn't get a runner past first base Wednesday. "All our guys are frustrated."
