XBOX NCAA TOURNAMENT ATS SIMULATIONS SPORTSBOOK SIM BETTING TIPS

Opening Round     Simulation @ Qwest Center, Omaha, NE

(1) Kansas vs. (16) Portland State: The Jayhawks came out sluggish in this BetUS simulation, only converting 3 of their first 10 shots from the field allowing Portland State to hold an 11-6 lead at the 15-minute mark. After the media timeout, KU threw the gauntlet down and proceeded to go on a 25-6 run and ultimately led by 32 at the break, 57-25. They continued to add on to their lead for most of the second half until Head Coach Bill Self decided to get the bench some “pt”. They led by 36 when this happened, but the Vikings managed to widdle it down to 25 with a minute left. They had a number of opportunities from the field in the closing minute, but none of the shots managed to fall and the Jayhawks held on for the 25-point road win and cover.

Final Score: Kansas 88 Portland State 63

(9) Kent State vs. (8) UNLV: The 8/9 match-ups are supposed to normally be very close and competitive, but this SportsBook sim was hardly the case when the Golden Flashes and Rebels hooked up in Omaha. Kent proclaimed its dominance right from the get go. They hit 10 of their first 11 shots from the field, and hauled in every errant shot the Rebels took. UNLV only had 9 points at the 10-minute mark, while Kent rung in with 34. UNLV tried its hardest to come back in the second half behind an excellent performance from Wink Adams who ended up with a game high 27-points, but it wasn’t enough as the MAC representatives cruised to the 79-58 first round victory.

Final Score: Kent State 79 UNLV 58

(11) Kansas State vs. (6) USC: The Qwest Center was buzzing with anticipation for the evening session as the Wildcats and Trojans got set to square off. The young star power on the court provided a glimpse of what to come when K-State superstar Michael Beasley and USC phenom O.J Mayo take their skills to the next level. The first half was nip and tuck the whole way through, but it wasn’t each teams superstars that shined. Instead, Bill Walker and Taj Gibson lead each of their teams in scoring at the break. However, Mayo built upon the Trojans 4-point lead at the half scoring the Trojans first 8-points out of the break. The Trojans built a 10-point lead at the 10-minute mark, which had Michael Beasley noticeably irate on the bench throughout the media timeout. Something must have been said to pump him up because he took the court with a focus unlike any we’ve seen from him all year. He literally put the Wildcats on his back scoring 15 of their next 17 points to pull K-State to within a bucket. Tied at 60 apiece, he nailed his first three point attempt of the game to put K-State on top for good as they outscored the Trojans 11-5 the rest of the way to secure the huge come from behind victory.

Final Score: K-State 71 USC 65

(3) Wisconsin vs. (14) Fullerton State: The final game of the day pit 14th seed Cal State Fullerton against the Big 10 Champion Wisconsin Badgers. Many were of the belief that this Titans bunch was capable of hanging with the Badgers, but that assumption couldn’t have been further from the truth. Wisconsin took the Big West representatives by the throat and squeezed the ever-living life out of them from the opening tip. The Badgers style of play clearly had the Titans perplexed, and the Badgers held a 46-20 lead at the break. It didn’t get much better in the second half either as Head Coach Bo Ryan called off the dogs emptying his bench, but even the guys riding the pine couldn’t miss. When it was all said and done, Wiscy had notched its highest offensive output of the season and covered the 12-point spread with ease.

Final Score: Wisconsin 96 CS Fullerton 71
