Bet On UFC - The Ultimate Fighter Finale
By Robby Maddux
The Ultimate Fighter Finale on Saturday, December 8 will be UFC betting fanatics next opportunity to get down on action in the Octagon, as Roger "El Matador" Huerta takes on Clay "The Carpenter" Guida on Spike TV beginning at 9pm EST.
With a MMA record of 21-5-0, Guida enters this fight as the favorite of -155.
Guida has lost two of his last three fights, winning his most recent against Marcus Aurelio in UFC 74 on August 25 by split decision in a hard fought battle that nearly handed Guida his third straight loss. He was the aggressor throughout the fight, which was enough for judges to score him the winner, but he clearly looked beatable in the fight.
Guida's last three fights have been decided by the judges proving he doesn't have explosive power strong enough to finish bouts on his own, and that could prove fatal making Huerta a lively underdog with UFC odds listing him the puppy at +125.
Huerta comes to the Octagon with an impressive MMA record of 20-1-1. Unlike Guida, Huerta has finishing power having won three of his last four fights via technical knock out, including his most recent win which came against Alberto Crane in UFC 74.
This will be an exciting 155-pound fight. Guida will attempt to build the bankrolls of his investors with endurance and good wrestling skills. He's a flexible fighter with a solid chin that will be tested by Huerta, who'll try to cash for his supporters with well rounded talent. He's a dynamic fighter who's composed and confident.
In a sport where the puppy often barks, Huerta appears to be the wise selection in this one with solid value at +125.
On Saturday, December 29 bettors can also take part in UFC 79 - NEMESIS, as former UFC champion Matt Hughes (43-5-0) squares off against Georges ''Rush'' St-Pierre (13-2-0) in the main event.
This will be the most superior month in recent UFC betting history with two events being held in December, and there's no better way to pocket some holiday cash than with action in the cage.
