UFC Invades Europe - UFC 70 – Nations Collide

This isn’t the first time the UFC has been to the UK. But it’s the first time since 2002.

With a choke hold on the US mma market, the UFC is using some of its high profile European superstars to win over the UK fans. Headlining the card is Croation sensation heavyweight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic as he takes on Brazilian submissions expert Gabriel Gonzaga.

Cro Cop opened as a (-500) favorite over Gonzaga who sits at a respectable (+350)

On the undercard is England native and The Ultimate Fighter 3 Winner Michael Bisping (-600).

He’s making his UFC debut in front of a home crowd in the sold out M.E.N. Arena in Manchester England. He faces Australian journeyman Elvis Sinosic (+450) who is coming off 5 straight losses in the UFC.

Former heavyweight champion and Belarus native Andei Arlovski continues his march back to the top of his division as he faces one of the toughest new additions to the UFC, a Brazilian training out of Cro Cop Squad Gym, Fabricio Werdum.

Werdum and Arlovski are at even odds at (-115).

Considering what the oddsmakers don’t know much about Fabricio Werdum, a lot of respect is being given to him regardless of his lack of experience in the octagon.
