UFC Fighter Profile - Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez
By BetUS Staff
19-0.
In the world of mixed martial arts, that number is unattainable
Losing in MMA is simply a reality of the sport. It doesn’t mean you aren’t great. It doesn’t mean you aren’t worthy of being a champion. Its just so easy to slip up and take a shot to the button or end up in an arm bar or choke. What isn’t easy is avoiding that for 19 straight fights! Its literally impossible. But somehow Diego Sanchez has managed to achieve this.
This guy has some serious chi working in his favor. And he backs it up with outstanding conditioning and dedication to his craft. This time around, he’s angrier than we’ve ever seen him, and has been training with Oscar De La Hoya.
How’s that for advice and experience?
Tonight he takes on Josh Koscheck, a former fellow contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 1 and absolute nemesis. They faced each other in the welterweight semi finals of the reality show, where Diego eked out a close split decision.
Since that day the smack talk between these two hasn’t ceased and has come to a head for UFC 69. We may just see history tonight, 20-0.
