UFC Wagering - UFC 82 Pride of a Champion

UFC betting will be at its finest once again on Saturday. It's a stellar card from top to bottom, and the middleweight title fight between Anderson "The Spider" Silva and challenger Dan "Hendo" Henderson promises to be exciting.

The Silva-Henderson fight has the potential to end with one man starring up at the lights, or could be decided by a bone cracking submission hold. Silva is a powerful striker with a great ground game. Henderson is also a skilled striker and is a world-class wrestler who twice represented the U.S. in the Olympics.

On paper, these two warriors are evenly matched. But BetUS UFC odds list Silva the slight favorite at -145. Henderson will try to bark as the dog at +115. Oddsmakers are giving Silva the edge based on a 20-4-0 mark and his past performances.

Silva has recently dominated the competition in the UFC, defeating Rich Franklin (twice), Nate Marquardt, Travis Lutter and Chris Leben. But in Henderson, Silva will be facing a fighter who's equally as talented in overall skill and a guy who's challenged even stiffer competition.

Since 2006, Henderson has faced Kazuo Misaki (twice), Vitor Belfort, Wanderlei Silva and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Henderson lost in his last fight against Jackson by way of unanimous decision but still owns a respectable MMA record of 22-6-0.

Henderson has a great chin, so it will be interesting to see if he’ll be able to withstand Silva’s strikes. If you bet on UFC action, this fight will have you on the edge of your seat.

Also on the card, the big boys will do battle in the cage. Heavyweight Heath "The Texas Crazy Horse" Herring will get it on against Cheick Kongo. Herring is 27-13-1 and will attempt to get the job done with his massive size and agility.

Kongo has been training since the age of 5. He's manufactured a 21-3-1 record with raw power, focus and dedication. Kongo is listed as the favorite at -155. Herring is shown at +125.

Chris "The Professor" Wilson will battle Jon Fitch. Fitch has earned the most respect of oddsmakers among any fighter on the card at -600. He's 20-2-1 and will try to impress as the heavy favorite with spectacular wrestling skills.

There's great value on Wilson at +400 for a guy that's a respectable 12-3-1. He will rely on his explosive striking abilities in effort of pulling off the upset.

As well, Alessio "Legionarius" Sakara (EV) will square off against Chris "The Crippler" Leben (-130). Yushin "Thunder" Okami (-200) will take Evan Tanner (+160).

There are many other fights on tap for those who wager on UFC. So be sure to checkout all the money-making odds. This will indeed be a fantastic night of action in the cage. Are you ready? Let's get it on!
