UFC 76 Betting Odds And Preview – BetUS Sportsbook
By Robby Maddux
UFC Betting will be at its finest when former Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck ''The Iceman'' Liddell returns to the Octagon to face ''The Dean of Mean'' Keith Jardine in the main event at UFC 76 - KNOCKOUT on Saturday night.
Following his loss to Quinton ''Rampage'' Jackson at UFC 71 in his latest fight, Liddell brings a MMA record of 20-4-0 to the cage. But at the age of 37, is Liddell on the downside of a storied career? This fight with Jardine will tell the story of whether Liddell can still build the bankrolls of his investors or not.
Liddell is an excellent striker with well-rounded grappling skills. He's capable of getting the job done by landing bombs or executing his ground game.
A Liddell win would most likely put the 205-pounder up against Wanderlei Silva for his next fight. But before looking ahead, Liddell must first get passed the hard-hitting Jardine, who owns a MMA record of 12-4-1.
Jardine is also coming off a loss to Houston Alexander in his most recent fight. But prior to the defeat, Jardine scored a victory over the popular Forrest Griffin by way of technical knock out.
Jardine is a well-rounded fighter, and like Liddell, he's capable of claiming a win standing up or from the ground.
UFC odds display Liddell the favorite at -350. Jardine will attempt to make oddsmakers look foolish as the +270 underdog.
Also on the card, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (-350) will take on Griffin (+270) in what should be a war. Rua holds a MMA record of 16-2-0 and is a strong aggressive fighter with an excellent background in Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu. Griffin brings a MMA record of 14-4-0 to the cage along with good grappling skills as a well-rounded fighter.
Also watch Jon Fitch (-130) battle Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (Even). As odds indicate, this is an evenly matched fight making for a great betting event.
As well, Thiago Tavares (+135) takes on Tyson Griffin (-165) and Kazuhiro "Kaz" Nakamura squares off against Lyoto Machida.
UFC betting has caught fire and at UFC 76 - KNOCKOUT the action will be ablaze. Don't miss this magnificent spectacle. Are you ready? Let's get it on!
