UFC 69 Betting – Sanchez vs Koscheck Preview
By BetUS Staff
This bout is going to go one of two ways; a grappling snooze fest or a savage beat down.
Kos can wrestle like a bastard, and if you look at fighters that are dominant wrestlers like Matt Hughes and Randy Couture, you know how wrestlers can own other fighters on the mat.
Diego is no slouch on the ground either, and probably has the edge in submissions too. Seeing how three of his last four fights have been unanimous decisions, there’s really no other way to predict this.
Kos can’t stand up, and he knows his only shot is to take Diego down. Diego has the edge in submissions on the ground but I see him keeping the fight standing to take advantage of his superior striking. Koscheck feels like he can take Diego to the mat at will, and grind out a win or submission.
Look for Kos attempt to bring Diego to the mat at every turn, and turn this into a snoozer. Unless Diego is strong enough to keep this standing, which in all likelihood he is not, he will be comfortable taking this to the mat and trying for the submission.
Prediction: Sanchez UD
