UFC 68 Betting - Rich Franklin Profile

Rich Franklin will be getting back into the octagon forUFC 68 after the brutal thrashing he took at the hands of Anderson Silva at UFC 64. Hopefully this will get him back on track to being one of the most dominant fighters in the UFC.

At 20-2-0, Franklin is a feared Middleweight contender that must be hungry for a rematch to regain the championship belt that he lost to Silva. In addition to losing the belt, he had to undergo surgery for a nasal fracture. He may be shaky getting back into a fight of this magnitude, but I'd bet that he'd be up for it.

Previously fighting in the UCC, IFC and Extreme Challenge, Franklin has been tearing his way through MMA events on his way to the UFC. Beating the likes of Ken Shamrock, David Loisea and Evan Tanner, Franklin established himself as a force in the UFC before the dismantling he took at the hands of Silva.

Favored at -500 over Jason McDonald (+ 400), Franklin will be using this as a stepping-stone match to get back on track.

Franklin began as a self-trained fighter, using instructional video tapes to learn submission grappling - he now has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is a feared striker. Considered by many to be an amazing all-around athelete, Franklin looks like a lock to win this match at UFC 68. Interestingly enough he's also a former high school teacher.

This one's for sure. Franklin in the first round.
