UFC 67 Betting - New Faces
By BetUS Staff
It may somewhat lack in the way of commercial headliners and household names, but this 67th installment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship will leave its mark in a more significant nature.
For those of us familiar with the world of mixed martial arts, the UFC has not been the only premier organization to showcase the talents of no holds barred world. Pride and K1 have both been around for years, and since they tend to dominate in Asia, its stars have been relatively invisible to the North American spotlight. Take for instance Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. This is the only person to TKO current light heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell and not be knocked out in a rematch. Why have you never heard of him? Because he’s been busting heads over in Japan.
That’s where Chuck Liddell lost to him in 2003.
As the popularity of mixed martial arts has grown, the UFC has increasingly become the destination for the world’s superstars of MMA to validate their status as elite fighters. Along with Jackson comes Croation madman and Pride veteran Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, whose amazing knockout power and striking abilities have been the talk of the fight world for years.
The parity that the UFC lacked and the uncertainty of its champions will soon be a thing of the past. We are in the process of witnessing the merger of all of the best mixed martial arts fighters in to one organization, and it looks like its going to be the UFC.
This Saturday, February 3rd, Pride superstars Quinton Jackson and Mirko Filopovic join the UFC ranks as the undercard to Brazillian Striker Anderson Silva’s first title defense against The Ultimate Fighter Champion Travis Lutter. The collision of Europe, South America and the United States all in one action packed night of no holds barred betting action.
