UFC 67 Betting - How Good is Anderson Silva
By BetUS Staff
This may only be the third time most people see Anderson “The Spider” Silva, but trust me, this guys been doing a lot of what we’ve seen for a long, long time.
He lost his mma debut in a decision, lost to submission four years ago, and once more in 2004 to a crazy flying scissor heel hook which if attempted repeatedly, would probably be successful one out of every twenty tries. His last loss was a disqualification for an illegal kick…which wouldn’t be illegal in the UFC.
He has never been knocked out and in 21 fights, has knocked out almost sixty percent of his opponents.
His path to the UFC Middleweight Championship is riddled with knockout after knockout and up and coming superstar after superstar. He completely dismantled one of the deadliest strikers in the UFC in Chris Leben, knocking him out in a mere 49 seconds. He then took on who was widely considered the best stand up and most accurate punchers in the UFC. And reduced Rich Franklin to a bloody heap in the first round.
How good is Anderson Silva? Probably better than anything we’ve seen in the UFC thus far.
Travis Lutter will find out tonight, and for his sake, I hope he practiced breaking the Muay Thai clinch and how to run, because it’s going to be a long night.
