UFC 66 Betting - Liddell Profile
By Adam Prince
Chuck Liddell is any UFC bettor’s dream. He’s a hard-striking, fast-moving competitor that has the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Belt and 6 straight wins against some of the best that MMA has to offer.
Going into his highly touted rematch against Tito Ortiz at UFC 66 on Saturday, December 30th, Liddell is favored at -240. Liddell has a background in collegiate wrestling, kick-boxing, and karate.
Liddell’s main attack is striking. He has an aggressive standup style that worked well against Ortiz in the first bout. There is a lot of speculation regarding whether or not Ortiz can stay on his feet and strike with Chuck Liddell. I don’t think that can happen for an entire match.
Liddell is a confident fighter that has every right to be. His winning streak has seen him defeat Randy Couture (twice), Vernon White, Jeremy Horn, Renato Sobral and Tito Ortiz. Those were fairly large matches, but this second fight against Ortiz has the potential to be the biggest fight – in terms of wagering and viewing – in UFC history.
Chuck isn’t planning on disappointing his fans or the people laying money on him.
Fighting out of San Luis Obispo, California, Liddell is looking to expand on his impressive record of 19-3-0. He’s weighing in at 204 lbs and 6’2’’. The “Iceman” has a well-rounded attack that is definitely going to give Ortiz some trouble.
