This is the first meeting between Devilder and Peya on the main circuit. In the lower circuit, Peya has a slight 2-1 edge. He has home court advantage over Devilder.

Del Potro has reprised his game of late. At the Mercedes Cup, he only dropped one set – in the second round to Simone Bolelli. Against Ouanna, he was in flying form beating the qualifier from France 6-3, 6-3. With his stock in the tennis-betting markets on the up, Del Potro should be a huge favourite in this match. Moreover, if he continues his winning ways he should dismiss Roitman easily.

Separated by only ten ranking points their matchup will be a close contest. No. 69 Garcia-Lopez brings a 16-14 mark into the second round, which includes a semi-final appearance at the Allianz Suisse Open.

Garcia-Lopez can be a tricky opponent for Hanescu. He is a clay-courter that most players would prefer to avoid at any stage of a tournament. He had a relatively routine victory in the opening round against Agustin Calleri, which means he will be better rested than Hanescu.
