Tennis Betting – Western And Southern Financial Group Masters

Cincinnati, Ohio – Day 2 of the ATP Masters Series in Cincinnati is underway with the remaining first round tennis betting matchups. On the first day of the tournament, veteran player Carlos Moya demonstrated age was a non-issue as he dispatched David Nalbandian 7-6(4), 7-6(2); Tomas Berdych easily topped Benjamin Becker 6-3, 6-4; David Ferrer clinched the victory over John Isner 7-6(3), 6-3, Nicolas Kiefer upset Marat Safin 6-3, 7-6(1) and Sam Querrey survived a three-setter, eking out Marc Giquel 7-5, 5-7, 6-4.
Top seeds Roger Federer. Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko, Fernando Gonzalez, Tommy Robredo and Richard Gasquet all received a bye into the second round. Andy Roddick and Tommy Robredo are the first of the top seeds to play their first match of the tournament as the second round kicks off in the evening.
Juan Martin Del Porto +150 Guillermo Canas -200
Tennis Prediction: – Compatriots No.78 Juan Del Potro and No.14 Guillermo Canas face of in their first-ever matchup. Owing to his rank and 32/14 record for the season, Canas is favored in this matchup. Although Canas’s US Open series debut last week at the Rogers Cup was short-lived - a first round exit at the hands of Paul-Henri Mathieu - he is still a good bet. Adjusting to surface is key, and since Canas was playing in his first hard court tournament, after a run all the way to the semifinal of the Studena Croatia Open in Umag on clay (where he lost to eventual champion Carlos Moya), his first round exit at the Rogers Cup is nothing more than an inability to find his rhythm on hard. Canas is still a good bet.
Tennis Free Pick: – Canas in straight sets.
Alejandro Falla +300 James Blake -500
Tennis Prediction: – Aside from upsetting Tommy Haas at the ATP Masters Series in Miami earlier this year, Alejandro Falla has a poor record against Top 20 players. Ranked at 124 in the ATP, Falla at +300 is a long shot bet. Not worth the risk, particularly as he is playing against No.8 James Blake.
At -500, Blake is the better play. Playing in his fourth US Open Series event, Blake’s game is well warmed-up to the fast hard court surface. In Los Angeles, he was a finalist; in Indianapolis, he was a quarterfinalist; in Montreal at the Rogers Cup, he lost to Lleyton Hewitt in the second round.
Tennis Free Picks: – Blake in straight sets.
Tommy Haas -350 Mario Ancic +225
Tennis Prediction: – Mario Ancic is appearing in his second tournament since a five-month long absence owing to injuries and mononucleosis. In his US Open series debut last week in Montreal, Ancic fell in the second round to Paul-Henri Mathieu. It is hard to imagine that Ancic has found his form so quickly after such a long absence. Despite his talent and potential, at this early stage of his comeback he is long shot. Moreover, strengthening the odds against him is the caliber of his opponent. Tommy Haas holds a 2-1 career record over Ancic, 30/10 record for the season and one ATP title.
Tennis Free Picks: – Haas in straight sets.
