Tennis Betting Odds - ATP Masters Series Monte Carlo R32
by Nila Amerova
Monte Carlo, Monaco – Tennis odds are currently available for the ATP Masters Series in Monte Carlo, so to get you started betting on tennis with BetUS Sportsbook, here is a look at some of the stellar matchups scheduled for tomorrow.
Tennis Betting Line:
Nicolas Lapentti +2½ -105 +145 Over 22½ -115
Janko Tipsarevic -2½ -135 -190 Under 22½ -125
Match Time: 04:00 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday April 23, 2008
Tennis Prediction: Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia earned his place in the second round after he beat Paul-Henri Mathieu of France in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-3. Meanwhile, Nicolas Lapentti of Ecuador emerged from his first round encounter with a 7-6(3) 6-7(2) 6-4 win over Potito Starace. Both players faced stiff opposition in the opening rounds. In terms of betting on this match though, the balance tips in favour of the higher ranked Serbian. At -190 favorite odds he is the better play, although I expect the natural clay courter in Lapentti to give him a tough battle.
Tennis Free Picks: Tipsarevic in three sets
Tennis Betting Line:
Simone Bolelli +225
Nikolay Davydenko -350
Match Time: 04:00 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday April 23, 2008
Tennis Prediction: Italian Simone Bolelli eked out Juan Ignacio Chela – a former Top 20 player – to reach the second round. Ranked No.66 in the World, Bolelli improves to 8-9 for the season. However, his reward is a second round encounter against an in-form Nikolay Davydenko. The Russian warmed up last week at the Estoril Open, his season debut on clay. Davydenko reached the final, where he retired in the second set, down 7-6(5), 1-2. Davydenko is the better play.
Tennis Free Picks: Davydenko in straight sets
Tennis Betting Line:
David Ferrer -250
Marat Safin +185
Match Time: 04:00 AM Eastern Time, Wednesday April 23, 2008
Tennis Prediction: David Ferrer received a bye into the second round on account of his fifth seeding at the ATP Masters Series in Monte Carlo. The No.2 ranked Spaniard (weighing at No.5 in the world, second to Rafael Nadal), arrived in Monte Carlo after winning the VI Open de Tenis title in Valencia, Spain. At -250 favorite odds, few would bet against the Spaniard. Although Marat Safin is an anomaly, on occasion, when everyone has dismissed his odds, he comes up with a huge upset, but more often than not, particularly since last year, he has been on a downward spiral. Betting on the Russian Safin is a risky play. Not outrageous though.
Tennis Free Picks: Ferrer in straight sets
