Charleston, South Carolina – As we enter the R16 at the Family Circle Cup, what lies ahead are some great matchups for tennis fans and bettors, which means there are some tennis free picks to be had. So without further ado, here is my take on some of the tennis betting action available at BetUS Sportsbook, complete with tennis odds and lines.

Tennis Prediction: For those of you that did not see Sharapova’s inaugural performance at the Family Circle Cup – it was a spectacular display in mastery. Sharapova schooled Bethanie Mattek 6-0, 6-0. At -2000 favorite odds, Sharapova is a steep favorite for good reason and few would bet against the Russian following such a convincing show.

Elena Dementieva -4 -125 -300 Over 21½ -115
Victoria Azarenka +4 -115 +200 Under 21½ -125
Tennis Prediction: Russian Elena Dementieva is tipped at -300 on the money line for the win over up-and-comer Viktoria Azarenka of Belarus. Without overestimating Dementieva game or underestimating Azarenka’s talent, I would take the odds makers favorite.
Azarenka is a good value underdog at +200 and I expect there will be a few underdog pushers who will take her price tag; but while Azarenka holds promise for the future, in today’s R16 matchup at the lucrative and prestigious Tier I event the second coming Azarenka is not. Dementieva gets the bookies nod for good reason.

Tennis Betting Line:
Serena Williams -5½ -110 -700 Over 18 -105
Katarina Srebotnik +5½ -130 +400 Under 18 -135
Tennis Prediction: Tipped at -700 on the money line, Serena Williams is the heavy favorite entering this matchup against Katerina Srebotnik. A 15-1 mark for the season and two WTA titles (Williams won two of the three tournaments she contested this year) – need I say more. The writing is on the wall.

Alize Cornet -3 -105 -180 Over 21½ -130
Sorana Cirstea +3 -135 +140 Under 21½ -110
Tennis Prediction: Fast rising Frenchwoman Alize Cornet weighs in at No.40 in the world and arrived in Charleston with a 10-8 mark for the year, which included her semifinal run at the Bausch & Lomb Championships. Cornet (18-years-old) is turning out to be quite the clay-courter and a serious challenger. Tipped at -180 favorite odds she is a good play.
No.86 Sorana Cristea owns the tournaments biggest upset thus far – a second round triumph over third seed Anna Chakvetadze. Brimming with confidence the teenager from Romania could give Cornet a good challenge. In fact, at +140 Cristea holds a lot of value. What could happen is another upset – albeit slightly less impactful.
