Tennis Betting ATP Masters Series Miami Quaterfinal Odds

Miami, Florida – In the top half of the draw, World No.1 Roger Federer, No.4 Nikolay Davydenko, No.6 Andy Roddick and unseeded Janko Tipsarevic booked their places in the final eight. With the tennis odds currently live at BetUS, here are some free tennis picks for tomorrow’s quarterfinal matchups in Miami.

BETUS TENNIS ODDS:

Match Time: 03:00 PM Eastern Time, Thursday April 3, 2008

Nikolay Davydenko -2½ -125 -200 Over 23 -125

Janko Tipsarevic +2½ -115 +150 Under 23 -115

Nikolay Davydenko (1st Set) -160 Over 9½ -150

Janko Tipsarevic (1st Set) +120 Under 9½ +110

Analysis: Nikolay Davydenko prepares to meet Janko Tipsarevic for the first time this year. In their only meeting, Davydenko defeated Tipsarevic7-6(6), 6-1 in his home event in Moscow. With a 1-0 record over Tipsarevic, Davydenko should like his odds coming into this match. Tipped at -200, he is favoured for the victory.

Davydenko enters this quarterfinal on the heels of a tough R16 encounter against Mario Ancic of Croatia. Davydenko was stretched to three sets, before clinching the victory 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. In the third round, Davydenko got off to a sluggish start, losing the first set to Simone Bolleili, before launching a comeback that saw him take the match 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-1 and in his opener, he was forced to go three sets as well against Ernests Gulbis 3-6,7-6(6) 7-6(3).

Davydenko has not been impressive through the tournament, more importantly, every match he won was in three sets. Against Tipsarevic, he cannot afford such a hiccup, because the Serbian is more than capable of closing out the match with a win.

Tipsarevic was nothing short of sensational at the Australian Open when he took Roger Federer to five sets in the R32 7-6(5) 6-7(1) 7-5 1-6 8-10. We have seen what the Serbian is capable of when playing against the best. If he can raise his game to such a level, at +150, he holds a lot of value.

Tennis Free Picks: Tipsarevic in straight sets

BETUS TENNIS ODDS:

Match Time: 03:00 PM Eastern Time, Thursday April 3, 2008

Roger Federer -4 -115 -700 Over 22½ -115

Andy Roddick +4 -125 +400 Under 22½ -125

Roger Federer (1st Set) -450 Over 10 -115

Andy Roddick (1st Set) +275 Under 10 -125

Analysis: On paper, this matchup is cut-and-dry. Federer leads with a butt-whipping edge 15-1 lifetime – a record that is comprised of an 11-match winning streak for the Swiss over a five-year period. The last (and only time) Roddick defeated Federer was in the semifinals of the ATP Masters Series in Canada in 2003. More of a whitewash than a rivalry, take the odds makers favorite Federer at -700. Clearly, his recent bouts of inconsistencies have not entirely discounted him with the bookies. Roddick is still a long shot at +400.

Tennis Free Picks: Federer in straight sets.
