Super Bowl Props Betting – Eli Manning Props - Passing Yards

As with Tom Brady, there are many Super Bowl XLII prop bets with odds on the play of the New York Giants quarterback, Eli Manning. These are the bets on Eli that have nothing to do with the outcome of the game, but instead deal exclusively on the play of Eli. Some of them could be won or lost very early on and some might not be decided until the final play of the game. These are the fun wagers that make give Super Bowl odds for pretty much anything you can imagine and make the most bet on event in any calendar year.

New York Giants +11.5 vs. New England Patriots –11.5

To find the Eli Manning bet we’ll discuss here, just go to the BetUS sportsbook and scroll down past the Super Bowl lines and then all the alternative Super Bowl odds and you’ll see sections for all kinds of possible Super Bowl bets. In the QB Props section is where, of course, you’ll find these gems that you can bet on, then sit back to enjoy the game knowing you could just win yourself a chunk of change at any time, as the wagers tick off and stats roll up. We’ll go by the numbers on the left of the bets, called Rotation Numbers, to make it easier to follow.

Super Bowl Betting: 6:20 p.m. EST in Glendale, Arizona

Number 501/502: This wager is on Eli Manning total yards passing in Super Bowl XLII and whether or not that total will be over or under 226.5 yards. Since this line first came out, more people have bet on the over than the under, pushing the price of taking more than 226.5 yards up to –125, while the under sits at –115.

What should you take? Well, in the regular season, manning averaged 191 yards per game and his production has fallen by four yards in these playoffs. The Pats, meanwhile, allowed 190 yards per game in the regular season, but have allowed over 240 in their two playoff matches. In Week 17, Eli passed for 251 yards against New England, on 32 attempts.

These numbers, combines with the fact that, in that Week 17 game, Brandon Jacobs ran for 67 yards on just 15 attempts, for an average of 4.5 yards per carry, makes me advise you to take the under in this Super Bowl.

At 4.5 yards per carry, the Giants will want to run Jacobs at least 30-35 times in Super Bowl XLII, knowing they can keep drives alive and keep the patriots offense on the sidelines. It is really the only chance they have of winning this game. Eli will be a game manager in this one, not the game winner. Get the better price now and take Eli Manning to throw for under 226.5 yards.
