Soccer Betting - English Championship League Odds
By Nila Amerova
Bristol and Stoke City sit at the top of the overall English League Championship standings, and in turn, have become Premier League contenders. With both teams charging in the Championship, hoping for a chance at top flight, bet on the English Championship at BetUS as it enters into its last furlong.
Team Spread Moneyline Total Points Team Total Points
Bristol City PK -125 +130 Over 2½ +105 Over 1 -160 Under 1 +120
Watford PK -105 +175 Under 2½ -135 Under 1 -110 Over 1 -130
Draw +220
Analysis: This is perhaps the key match of the English Championship for top spot. Bristol City is in the lead with 66 points, whereas Watford sits in third with 62 points. The stakes are high in this match, as the winner in this contest would improve their chances of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Watford ground out four draws in their last five matches, but at the same time are on a nine-match unbeaten run. In their last four away matches, they drew three times and won once.
Soccer Betting Verdict: Bristol is on a seven-match streak without a loss and at +130, the home team is a good bet to improve to eight. However, Watford’s record should make them the bettor’s favorites for the win. And their price tag at +175 makes them the better play. Bristol City will try to guard their lead in the Championship, so I expect them to play more conservatively. I expect Watford to be less cautious, and try to go for the win. A draw would give them one point – hardly improving their Premiership ambitions.

Burnley PK -135 +130 Over 2 -145 Over 1 -140 Under 1 EV
Charlton Athletic PK +105 +175 Under 2 +115 Under 1 -130 Over 1 -110
Draw +220
Analysis: Another key match in the English Championships: Burnley, sitting in 10th place hosts play-off contenders Charlton Athletic. Burnley has either been on the butt-end of the play-off zone or just beyond it, but their current standing in tenth place seems to have taken them too far away from their primary goal this season – a play-off berth. Although they are not completely out yet, the competition is stiff and the task may prove to be too big. A home win would certainly do the trick.
Charlton’s ambitions were somewhat thwarted when a 1:2 loss to Preston was obviously not enough for automatic promotion. In addition, poor results in their last five matches that saw them win one, draw two and lose twice has lead manager Alan Pardew to shake the line-up. With some new players in the starting eleven, can Charlton win away?
Soccer Betting Verdict: In their last five home matches, Burnley won three and drew two. Having not lost suffered defeat in front of a partisan crowd for some time, they will be tough to beat. At +130, they are a good bet for the win, as they need to gain ground in the overall standings – and even more so, the draw at +220 holds particular appeal, which would not improve their standings but would earn them a point at the very least. Charlton needs a win to keep their play-off hopes alive. The question is can they pull it off or will Burnley grind them to a draw.
Soccer Free Picks: Draw at +220
