Today's Featured Race of the Day:
SAR Race 8 Head S. (4:45 et)
#2 Pay Wright 9/2
#9 Olivine 5/1
#10 Christies Treasure 3/1
#8 Bachata 12/1
Analysis: #2 Pay Wright stalked the early pace and did not have enough punch in the stretch in fourth place finish in the Inside the Beltway last out when coming back off a four month layoff. Two back she ran a good third in theLa Habra behind winner Super Freaky, who won a G3 at Santa Anita in her next outing. Figures to move forward second off the bench and goes from an open stake into a restricted stake here. Filly won back to back stakes on the lawn last fall and is 3 for 7 on turf in her career. Reunited with Coa who was aboard for her two stakes wins.
#9 Olivine makes her first start since a fifth place finish in the Susans Girl at Del Park. The winner of that race was Moon Catcher, who won the G2 Del. Oaks in her next outing. Two back she ran a good third in the Sugar Plum Times in a highly graded race. The winner was Ruthierenne, who has come back to win three G3's, the latest theLake George on 7/27. She makes just her second start on turf and popped a couple of quick works.
#10 Christies Treasure stumbled coming out of the gate and finished gamely for second last out in the Tweesdale, beaten a half length for the top spot. Earned the top last out speed fig in the effort but does draw a tough post and likely will draw too much attention at the windows.
Wager: #2 to win at 3/1 or better. Exacta key of #2,#9 over #2,#8,#9,#10.
Late Pick 3 Play: Races 7-9
Starting in Race 7: $1: 3,8,9 / 2,8,9,10 / 2,7 = $24
SAR Race 7 Clm $25,000N3L (4:14 et)
#8 Missed the Tower, #9 Tzipi, #3 In Command
#8 Missed the Tower came up empty in her last two starts after getting claimed away from Violette barn and now the filly switches barns again, this timer going to DiPrima barn that is showing a 1 for 4 mark first off the claim. Barn was on a roll at the Big A early this year, going 7 for 17 but has cooled off over the past three months, going 1 for 21 overall. Filly has a win and a second in two trips over wet tracks and this looks like a pretty soft spot here. We'll look for a bounce back here and the price should be right. #9 Tzipi raced evenly last out against straight three year olds for a $20K tag and now faces older and non winners of three here in her second start at the meeting. Three back at today's level she came up just a neck shy of the top spot earning a speed fig that fits well here. Filly owns a solid pace profile throughout and should be sitting just off the pace here.

#2 You Sure, #7 Dubliner
#2 You Sure made a mild late run to finish third last out and appears to be heading in the right direction with a pair of third place finishes since Luzzi took over from the bug. Is a half to a pair of winners including turf stakes winner Fortunate Damsel ($219K). #7 Dubliner made a good late rally to finish in the runner up spot last out going seven furlongs and stretches back out to two turns. This guy has been the beaten chalk five times in a row and has landed in the bottom half of the exacta in each of his last four outings. Could be more of the same here in this spot.
Live Longshots:
These are price plays to watch today. A small win-place wager is in order or if your pockets are deep enough, use these runners in your trifecta and Pick 3 and Pick 4 wagers. One or two of these could be the difference between a regular day at the track and hitting the IRS window with a signer.
