PGA Golf Betting Round-Up – Bow Down To Greatness
by Tim Furious
Bow down, or bend over. Either way, we’re starting at something special on the fairways. When Tiger Woods, dressed in his usual red and black, took to the playoffs on Sunday and was pushed by Rocco Mediate to a sudden-death playoff. Tiger’s first day back at the links was extended by 19-holes, with the most dominant competitor in the world of golf finally defeating Mediate after the 45 year-old shanked it into the gallery and ended his glorious run.
The payoff for Tiger was outstanding. Now, more than ever, is he feared by his peers. After over two-months on ice, Tiger came back and torched the competition on a bad wheel in heroic and dramatic style. Is there anyone out there that can touch this guy?
It appears that the answer is no, and the only one who can defeat Tiger is himself. The torque on his knee was understandably too much, but Tiger battled through the pain and managed to hoist the U.S. Open trophy high in the air as his adorable daughter clung to him after watching him battle his way to victory over a five-day thriller.
Though the payoff was amazing, the risk was great. The torque alone on Tiger’s knee, compounded by the stress of walking of miles, has caused Tiger to retreat once more. Woods looks to be out of action for at least a month until The Open. For those of you new to PGA betting, The Open is perhaps the most illustrious tournament on the entire tour. Until the Tour heads overseas for the British Open, we have the Buick Open, the AT&T National and the John Deere Classic with the winner’s circle wide open as Tiger once again licks his wounds.
