At times he strings together incredible performances and others he falls flat. The question is which of his multiple on-court personalities will make an appearance tomorrow. The former would of course be the better option for bettors taking the Russian. Heck, I hope so, for I would very much enjoy witnessing a turnaround in his year.

Tennis Prediction: This is a scintillating second round matchup between two very strong clay-courters. Argentinean Juan Martin Del Potro appears only in his fourth event of the year and first clay court tournament. As such, he entered the draw with a low 2-3 mark for the season. Clay is undoubtedly his one of his better surfaces and should he string together a solid game, he can knock Andreev of his stride. At +170, betting on Del Potro would not be outrageous.
However, Andreev has come into form during the clay court portion of the season; last week in Monte Carlo, he reached the quarterfinal round (l. to Davydenko). At -220 favorite odds, Andreev is a good play for the win; Though he will be tough to beat, I expect the Argentinean will give him a tough match.
