The Oakland Raiders, (4-12 SU, 6-10 ATS, 10-5-1 O/U) may have posted a dismal 4-12 straight up mark in the BetUS Sportsbook in 2007, but, with numerous new faces – and a better overall talent base, not to mention that head coach Lane Kiffin has a season of NFL experience under his belt, the Raiders feel like they can improve in a big way in 2008 and may not be far off the mark in their assessment.

Here is a look at the Raiders’ 2008 schedule, followed by my brief comment on each contest and overall analysis on the Raiders’ 2008 regular season.

The Raiders open the 2008 schedule with a big home victory over their rivals. Win

The Chiefs can be very tough at home despite the fact that they are mediocre. Loss

I think the Raiders have a good chance here but go down in the end. Loss

Oakland’s solid effort will fall just short here. Loss

Analysis: I’ve got the Raiders winning five games in 2008 but really think they could win six or possibly even seven games if everything goes absolutely perfect.
