Online Baseball Betting Odds - Arizona vs. Dodgers

What’s up with the Los Angeles Dodgers? From an MLB betting point-of-view, this team is like Jekyll and Hyde. One day they’re absolutely terrific, blowing seemingly respectable online wagers out of the water, by taking down a pitcher like the Padres’ Chris Young or the D’Backs Danny Haren (like they did last night!), then they can’t muster more then a few runs against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Run support has been lacking for the Dodgers. Well, tonight they will need it as Chad Billingsley, the man they send to the mound, almost certainly will give up at least four or five runs in this game. Billingsley has been pretty awful in the 14 innings he has pitched in this season. He’s 0 and 3 with a 6.14 ERA.

The D’Backs send Edgar Gonzalez to the mound. Gonzalez doesn’t exactly offer online betting enthusiasts much either. I mean, the guy is okay, going 0 and 1 with a 4.50 ERA, but he’s not shutting down teams the way Haren was before last night. Then again, The BetUS online sportsbook had Haren pretty much keeping the Dodgers at bay last night.

There are a couple of BetUS betting lines that appeal to me in this game. The first is betting on the Arizona Diamondbacks to win this game at online odds of + 115. The BetUS sports book is sort of doing us a favor by offering these MLB betting odds.

The Dodgers usually don’t win back-to-back games. I have no idea why. I don’t think Joe Torre does either but that’s their modus operandi. As baseball bettors, we need to take advantage of the BetUS online sportsbook when it offers juicy odds on a team like the D’Backs, who play with confidence, against a team like the Dodgers, who hardly ever put together two good games in a row.

The second online bet I like is the BetUS over/under at 8 ½ runs. I like the over in this game for the simple fact that Billingsley really has no clues as to what he’s doing this year. I don’t get it. The guy has ability, but can’t mentally get himself into games.

Gonzalez should give up his fair share of runs as well. I’m thinking that the score mirrors last night’s - - 6 to 4 - - but reversed with the D’Backs winning this one. The over looks like a solid online gambling bet to me.
