Pittsburgh finally cracked Chris Osgood and the blue-line of Detroit since this sports betting series kicked off. Is Osgood’s confidence shattered? Hardly. But now the dangerous factor remains that Pittsburgh knows it can get shots on net. Pittsburgh rifled 24 shots on net, while more than a handful of shots dinged off the post. Trouble’s on the horizon for Osgood.

Frankly, this is the moment we hockey betting faithful have been waiting for from Pittsburgh. Sidney Crosby lit the torch for two clutch goals while Detroit’s blue-line was left scrambling to contain the energetic Pens. Detroit, however, seemed unfazed. It was Marc Andre-Fleury who finally stood on his head, instead of tripping on his own two feet. Detroit has averaged 34.5 shots per game in this series, but Andre-Fleury has been outstanding in-between the pipes. His confidence grows as Pittsburgh offense gains steam. It’s too bad that the Red Wings are sitting on the rails.

Don’t get me wrong, Detroit is a phenomenal team. They won the President’s Cup for a reason. What makes them click is chemistry and coaching, so it’s not an unwise bet to take the Wings in this one. It’s just Pittsburgh is too talented to go down without a fight, so I like them on the online betting sportsbook money tonight.
