NFL Futures Betting – New England Patriots Season Point Total Odds and Predictions

The New England Patriots are the NFL odds-on-favorite to win the 2007 Super Bowl and for good reason – they’re absolutely loaded on both sides of the ball, particularly on offense, where the team added three play-making wide receivers who could give New England its most explosive offense in the Belichick era.

Here is a look at the Patriots’ season point total odds followed by my Free NFL Betting Picks:

Analysis: The Patriots have averaged 386.0 points per season over the last five campaigns with a high of 437 points in 2004 and a low of 348 in 2003.

New England scored 385 points last season with Tom Brady throwing to a no-name core of competent receivers, while the team eased young running back Laurence Maroney into the starting lineup in place of the veteran Corey Dillon.

After acquiring deep threats Randy Moss and Donte' Stallworth and speedy slot receiver/return specialist Wes Welker, the Patriots’ offense looks better than ever and Brady has more aerial weapons than he has had at any time in his career.

Take the Patriots to surpass last season’s 385 points and end up somewhere in the neighborhood of just over 400 points.
