NFL Betting: Cowboys Trend In Full Force This Weekend
By D.S. Williamson
As an NFL Bettor you should always look for chinks in the armor of a team that does well, or bad, in their games. Why? Because the chinks in the armor provide more opportunities for bets than watching teams do something incredible.
What the Dallas Cowboys did Monday night in order to win their game versus a very pesky Buffalo Bills teams was incredible. It also provided a chink in their armor that NFL bettors need to notice in order to make money this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. That chink turns into one of the most powerful trends regarding the Dallas Cowboys. The trend is perfect for their game this weekend.
Football Betting Trend – The Cowboys are 1 – 13 against the spread at home when the total line is greater than 44 points.
Why is this trend so awesome? Because Dallas has a terrific offense. So, the totals in most of their games, especially at home, are bound to be either 44 points or more.
Dallas also has an overrated defense. Their defense played a great game versus the St. Louis Rams earlier this season, but the Rams have no real offensive line. They didn’t have Steven Jackson in that game and at the end of the day the Rams are probably the worst team in professional football right now.
Dallas’ defense gave up chunks of yardage to the Buffalo offense this past Monday night. They gave up 24 points to Buffalo. They gave up 20 to the Miami Dolphins. They gave up 35 to the New York Giants.
Who do they play this weekend? The New England Patriots. What is the BetUS line against the spread? The Patriots are -6.5 on the road against the spread. What is the BetUS total line for the game? The BetUS total line for the game is over/under 53.
If Tom Brady doesn’t make mistakes versus the Cowboys D and trust me he won’t, the Patriots will shatter this line. Dallas QB Tony Romo proved on Monday that a well-planned, well-executed, defensive scheme can cause him to make mistakes. Two interceptions can be forgiven, but five? That means that Romo wasn’t noticing something he should have noticed. That means that the Buffalo D coordinator saw something in the film that helped him plan to take Romo’s brilliance away from the Cowboys.
The Bills also shut-down T.O. for the entire game on Monday night. So, I do not believe that the Cowboys can bounce back.
Starting this weekend with the Patriots, the Cowboys have some tough games coming up this year against some very good defensive teams. They play the New York Jets, the Minnesota Vikings, the Washington Redskins, and the Green Bay Packers at home. Expect the above trend to hold.
Until next week, good luck!
