NCAA Football Betting: Oklahoma vs. Texas Odds
by Tim Furious
Who doesn’t get excited about an Oklahoma-Texas throwdown? This season’s much anticipated match-up is a must-win situation for both teams, but Oklahoma has the slight edge as they hit the long road to Dallas this Saturday for the Red River Rivalry game.
Oklahoma’s young offense learned the hard way last week that things can change dramatically fast in the fourth quarter as they watched a 17 point lead slip away in the fourth quarter against Colorado last week. The Sooners will need their freshman phenom, Sam Bradford, to bounce back from his worst game (112 yards, two scores, two picks) and rally them past the Longhorns.
Colt McCoy knows what it’s like to be a freshman sensation, but has been surprisingly pedestrian this season. McCoy has health concerns heading in to this game, so the 254.2 yard passing offense might not be as terrifying as it usually is. Texas has been lousy against the line this season, going 2-3 ATS, while Oklahoma is 4-1 ATS.
This game will prove just how tough Sam Bradford’s mind is. The cautious college football betting investor might be worried considering his performance last week. But if you are into the business of making money, take Oklahoma to runaway with the score as Bradford bounces back and leads his squad over McCoy and the Longhorns.
