NCAA Big East Semifinal Free Pick – West Virginia vs. Georgetown

The West Virginia Mountaineers, (24-9 SU, 14-12-1 ATS, 12-15 O/U), have won eight of their last ten games and four consecutive games coming into their huge Big East matchup against the Georgetown Hoyas, (26-4 SU, 12-15 ATS, 9-18 O/U) tonight.
While the Mountaineers have won two consecutive Big East Tournament games the past two days, including a 78-72 upset of UConn last night, the Hoyas have been equally as proficient lately winning an identical eight of their last ten games in the BetUS.com Sportsbook.
Georgetown has also won seven straight games coming into this contest including a persuasive 82-63 blowout of Villanova in the Big East tourney last night.
The Mountaineers are averaging 75.3 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting while limiting their opponents to just 63.0 points per game on 41.6 percent shooting.
The Hoyas are averaging 69.8 points per game on 48.5 percent shooting while holding their opponents to just 57.5 points per game on 36.3 percent shooting, defensive marks that are both near the tops in the nation in their respective categories.
The Mountaineers are 5-4-1 against the spread in their last ten games while the Hoyas have been one of the worst ATS teams in the nation this season and are just 4-6 against the spread in their last ten games.
The Hoyas escaped with a one-point win, (58-57), in West Virginia on Jan. 26.

Analysis: I like the Hoyas to win this game, but I am taking the Mountaineers to cover the spread in this matchup with a very real shot to win this outright.
