NCAA Basketball Gambling – Seton Hall vs. Marquette

The Seton Hall Pirates, (17-14 SU, 11-15-1 ATS, 14-13 O/U), have won just twice in their last ten games and come into tonight’s matchup against the 24th-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles, (22-8 SU, 13-11 ATS, 14-10 O/U), riding a three-game losing streak, including a 64-61 loss to lowly Rutgers on Sunday.
Marquette has beaten Seton Hall (17-14) twice this season, 61-56 at home on Jan. 8 and 89-64 on the road on Feb. 12, and has won six of their last ten, though they come into tonight’s Big East showdown coming off an 87-72 loss to the Syracuse on Saturday.
The Pirates are averaging a very respectable 77.4 points per game on 42.5 percent shooting but are allowing a whopping 77.6 points per game on 45.1 percent shooting, which is the reason why a team that scores so many points per game, barely has an overall record over .500
The Golden Eagles are averaging 76.3 points per game on 45.3 percent shooting while playing solid defense this season and limiting their opponents to just 64.0 points per game on 41.2 percent shooting.
The Pirates have covered the spread in just three of their last ten and have a three-game ATS losing streak coming into this matchup.
The Golden Eagles are 6-3 against the spread in their last nine games but haven’t covered the spread in either of their last two games with point spreads.
The winner of this game will face 14th-ranked Notre Dame on Thursday.

Analysis: While I say take the mature Golden Eagles to rout the Seton Hall Pirates for the second consecutive time this season, the best wager for this matchup is the ‘Under’ 150 total points.
