NCAA Basketball Wagering – George Washington at Charlotte

While the George Washington Colonials, (9-15 SU, 9-8-1 ATS, 9-9 O/U), have struggled just to reach mediocrity this season and don’t have much to play for in tonight’s matchup other than pride, the Charlotte 49ers, (16-12 SU, 14-10-1 ATS, 14-11 O/U), have an A-10 conference berth riding on the line.
Charlotte is in seventh-place in the Atlantic 10 and comes into tonight’s game off a solid 89-82 win over Duquesne on Sunday, while George Washington is coming into this meeting off a 66-56 loss to No. 7 Xavier on Saturday.
The Colonials, who are just 3-7 in its last ten games, are averaging 63.5 points per game on 41.5 percent shooting but are allowing 68.0 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting.
The 49ers, who are 4-6 in their last ten games, are averaging 70.6 points per game on 40.4 percent shooting while allowing 67.9 points per game on 42.6 percent shooting.
Despite their on-court failures, the Colonials have covered the spread in the BetUS.com Sportsbook in four consecutive games and five of six while the 49ers have gone 6-4 against the spread in their last ten.

Analysis: While I like the Charlotte 49ers to win this game and earn their A-10 tournament berth, something tells me that George Washington is going to make it five consecutive covers in a row by keeping it closer than expected.
