NCAA Basketball Wagering - Tennessee Volunteers at Florida Gators

BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds: TENNESSEE -3.5, Total 155

The Tennessee Volunteers (26-3 SU, 13-11-1 ATS), who are the odds-on favorite for the SEC championship, travel to the Stephen O'Connell Center on Wednesday night to take on the Florida Gators (21-8 SU, 11-9 ATS), who may really need this game to bolster their NCAA hopes. The SEC contest tips off at 9 PM ET.

In the BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds, Tennessee is listed as a 3.5-point favorite, with a total of 155 points.

Here are some of the NCAA basketball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* TENN has won 21 of its last 23 games SU

* TENN has played four of its last five games UNDER the total

* TENN has won five of its last six road games SU

* TENN has played its last five road games UNDER the total

* FLA has covered two of its last eight games

* FLA has won 16 of its last 23 games SU

* FLA has covered one of its last five home games

* FLA has won 22 of its last 25 home games SU

* FLA has played four of its last six home games OVER the total

* TENN has won four of the last five meetings

* TENN has covered four of the last six meetings as the road team

* FLA has won nine of the last 12 meetings SU as the home team

* Four of the last five meetings in Gainesville have gone OVER the total

Revenge may not be the only motivator for Florida in this SEC showdown. It's also imperative for the Gators, the two-time defending national champs, to have a positive result as they make a case for themselves in case they have to go the at-large route before the NCAA Tournament Committee.

Efforts like the 36% they shot from the field against Mississippi State last time out are not going to get it done, especially when that was in the O'Connell Center, where Florida has now lost three games straight-up. But Tennessee is a little more generous than the Bulldogs, and so Billy Donovan's marksmen, who are 49% overall on the season, should find more room.

Tennessee has had some very close calls on the road in conference this season, including a three-point win at paper-thin Georgia, a two-point win at LSU, in which the Volunteers scored just 47 points, and a five-point win over Mississippi State. They have also lost to Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Since Tennessee got a little revenge against the Wildcats three days ago, perhaps it's time for Florida to redeem itself for allowing 60 points in the second half against Tennessee the first time around.

We'll take the points at home with Florida, the 3.5-point underdogs in the BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds.
