College Basketball Betting Action - Saint Louis at Saint Joseph’s
by Eric Williams
The St. Joseph’s Hawks, (17-8 SU, 15-8 ATS, 11-12 O/U), beat a pretty good Rhode Island team on Saturday, winning 90-83 on the road to pick up the team’s seventh win in their last ten games.
The Saint Louis Billikens, (15-12 SU, 10-12 ATS, 10-12 O/U), come into this matchup off a dismal 81-64 road loss at Charlotte on Saturday and have alternated wins and losses in each of their last four games while going 5-5 in their last ten overall.

The Hawks are led in scoring and rebounding by senior swingman Pat Calathes who ranks sixth in the A-10 in scoring, averaging 18.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
The Hawks are ranked sixth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage (40.9) and 13th in field goal percentage (48.5).
St. Louis is 5-5 against the spread, (ATS), in their last ten games, though they have failed to cover in three straight games coming into this affair.
Surprisingly, the young Billikens lead the Atlantic 10 Conference in scoring defense and are ranked 12th nationally in points allowed per game, allowing just 60.3 points per contest. In 11 of their 15 wins this season, the Billikens have held their opponents under 60 points.
The Hawks are also 5-5 against the spread, (ATS), in their last ten games, but have picked up three ATS wins in their last four contests.
St. Louis is averaging a measly 59.1 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting from the field while allowing 60.8 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting.
St. Joe’s is averaging 76.2 points per game on 48.5 percent shooting while limiting their opponents to just 68.9 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting from the field.
Here is a look at tonight’s key trends, followed by my analysis and NCAAB Betting Free Picks.
The Billikens are 5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games.
The Billikens are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a S.U. loss.
The Hawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
The Hawks are 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
The Over is 5-1 in Billikens last six overall.
The Under is 4-1 in Hawks last five home games.
Analysis: This is a game that the Hawks should be able to cover the spread in based on each team’s offensive prowess. Take St. Joe’s to cover the spread at home with just a bit of room to spare.
