NCAA Basketball Betting - Georgia Tech at Duke
By Charles Jay
BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds: DUKE -15, Total 163
The Duke Blue Devils (23-3 SU, 14-9-2 ATS), who got some of their frustrations out this past weekend against St. John's, look to continue to get up from the floor on Wednesday night as they play host to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (11-14 SU, 10-13 ATS) in Atlantic Coast Conference play that begins at 9 PM ET at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC.
In the BetUS NCAA college basketball betting odds, Duke is listed as a 15-point favorite, with a total of 163 points.
Here are some of the NCAA basketball betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* GT has covered one of its last six games
* GT has lost five of its last six games SU
* GT has played nine of its last 12 games OVER the total
* GT has covered three of its last ten road games
* GT has lost 17 of its last 23 road games SU
* GT has played six of its last eight road games OVER the total
* DUKE is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five games
* DUKE has played nine of its last 11 games OVER the total
* DUKE has won its last eight home games SU
* DUKE has played four of its last six home games OVER the total
* DUKE has covered 13 of the last 17 meetings
* DUKE has won 21 of the last 23 meetings SU
* The last six meetings have gone UNDER the total
* DUKE has covered five of the last six meetings as the home team
* DUKE has won 11 of the last 12 meetings SU as the home team
* GT has had the shooting edge in four of the last six meetings
Georgia Tech's downhill slide is almost complete. The Yellow Jackets have dropped four straight games, and at this point doing anything at all in the post-season is out of the question unless they pull off a miracle and win the ACC tournament. And this is not the right situation for them to reverse that, not in Cameron Indoor and not against a Duke team that has beaten them 21 out of 23 times, with 14 covers in the last 17.
Permissive Georgia Tech (45.4% FG's allowed) appears not to have the wherewithal to keep pace with this opponent, which ranks third in the country in scoring at 85.5 ppg. And with 9.4 three-pointers per game (tied for fourth nationally), the Blue Devils can extend leads.
Duke wants a high seed when the NCAA's start. Losing at Wake Forest and Miami certainly didn't help their cause much. This win won't get them all the way back, but they won't take a chance on any slip-ups. We're going to lay the heavy number with Duke, the 15-point favorite in the BetUS NCAA basketball betting odds.
