NCAA Basketball Betting - BOISE STATE vs. HAWAII

BetUS NCAA basketball betting odds: BOISE STATE -9, Total 151

The Hawaii Warriors (11-18 SU, 8-18 ATS) will try to reverse a losing streak on Thursday afternoon when they take on the Boise State Broncos (22-8 SU, 14-10 ATS) in first-round action at the Western Athletic Conference tournament at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, NM. Tipoff for the game is 2 PM ET.

In the BetUS NCAA basketball betting odds, Boise State is listed as a nine-point favorite, with a total of 151 points.

Here are some of the NCAAB betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* HAW has lost its last six games SU

* HAW has lost its last five games ATS

* HAW has played three of its last five games OVER the total

* BST has won 10 of its last 13 games SU

* BST has covered four of its last six games

* BST has played nine of its last 14 games OVER the total

* BST has covered three of the last five meetings

* BST has had the shooting edge in three of the last four meetings

* BST has had the rebounding edge in three of the last four meetings

* HAW has made more three-pointers in three of the last four meetings

Hawaii has had a disappointing season, to say the least. The Warriors, who held opponents under 40% shooting last season, have seen that figure balloon to 47.5% this year. And that brings them right into the wheel house of Boise State, which is second in the nation in field goal accuracy at 51%.

Travel has been a problem for Hawaii too, as evidenced by two wins away from home, as all of those games are played on the mainland. Hawaii was nearly a -9 in rebounding margin in those games, which may not tell the whole story but is indicative of a lack of inside presence. New Mexico State scored 106 points against them on this court just five days ago despite hitting just 31% from beyond the arc.

Since Hawaii allowed 48% and 54% in the two meetings with Boise State this season (losses by seven and 15 points), we don't think there's much hope for them to play lock down now. and with Boise State looking squarely at an opportunity to go to the NIT if they don't win the WAC, we wouldn't expect another subpar effort like they showed in the last outing (a loss to Utah State).

We will lay the points with Boise State, the nine-point favorite in the BetUS NCAAB betting odds.
