After opening the 2007-08 college basketball season with three consecutive wins, No. 25 Kansas State, (2-3 ATS, 4-1 O/U), has struggled in their last four contests, gong a mediocre 2-2 in their last four contests, including a 80-77 loss to Oregon on Nov. 29 in their last contest.

Notre Dame, (1-4 ATS, 1-4 O/U), sports a similar 5-2 record as Kansas State, but unlike the Wildcats, the Fighting Irish have played better as the season has wore on, winning three consecutive games heading into this matchup.

While Kansas State has a genuine superstar in freshman power forward Michael Beasley, 26.7 points and 15.0 rebounds per game), the Fighting Irish rely a bit more on the overall contributions of three players, leading scorer Luke Harangody, (17.3 ppg), guard, Kyle McAlarney, (14.1 ppg) and Rob Kurz, (13.9 ppg).

The Fighting Irish are making their first-ever appearance in the Jimmy V Classic in the fourth-ever meeting between the schools.
